The Dubai International Prize for the Holy Quran began yesterday, the first Friday of November 2024, to receive applications to participate in the twenty-fifth session of the year 1446h/2025g of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum competition for the Holy Quran through registration at the Quranic institutions, the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and zakat and the Centers of memorization of the Holy Quran accredited within the country, and the receipt of nomination applications ends on Saturday 21/12/2024 . Regarding registration in the competition, Ahmed Al Zahid, head of the media and Public Relations Unit of the award, stated that the Dubai International Award for the Holy Quran is an honorable competition in which a number of custodians of the book of Allah Almighty from citizens and residents and from all countries of the world compete in several branches, including memorizing the Holy Quran in full and memorizing a number of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai God bless him . He added that the Dubai International Prize for the Holy Quran includes 6 main competitions, namely the Dubai International competition for the Holy Quran: it is held annually in Ramadan and male memorizers from all over the world participate in it, the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak international competition for the Holy Quran, which is an international competition for females in which memorizers of the book of Allah from Islamic countries and Muslim communities around the world participate, and the Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum contest for the most beautiful hymns, which focuses on the beauty of sound recitation, hymn and intonation through its branches for buds, boys, youth, imams of mosques and the azan branch, and and the Emirati keeper competition: It aims to encourage citizens to memorize the Holy Quran to represent the country in international Quranic competitions, the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum competition: encourages memorization of the Quran for citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates, and the memorization program in penal institutions, which aims to reform the behavior of inmates by memorizing the book of Allah or parts of it and they are exempted from prison according to the number of parts they memorize. This comes within the tireless efforts of the United Arab Emirates to encourage young people and make them the focus of attention of our wise leadership, may Allah protect them, and encourage them to memorize the Holy Quran and honor its keepers in a manner befitting the people of the Quran.
