Art Auction bringing together art lovers and philanthropists to support free healthcare at PMC
The fifth edition of the Ramadan Online Art Auction took place from March 5 to March 9, 2025, bringing together art lovers and philanthropists to support free healthcare at Pakistan Medical Centre (PMC). Organised by Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) in collaboration with Poetic Strokes, the online auction welcomed bidders from across the globe and transformed art into a means of hope for those in needChairperson of the PMC Executive Committee, Mr Muhsin Al Banna, reflected on the impact of the initiative. “Every bid wasn’t just for an artwork – it was a testament to the spirit of our ever-compassionate community. In 2024 alone, 65% of PMC’s patients received free treatment, and thanks to the generosity of our community, we can expand our services to help even more people in need.
PAD General Secretary, Mr Zahid Hassan, shared his appreciation too. “The Ramadan Art Auction has become a cherished tradition for us. This year, yet again, showed the collective strength of our community.
We are grateful to every artist, donor, and supporter who played a part in making this a success.”
Ayesha Imtiaz from Poetic Strokes, PAD’s key collaborator for the exhibition, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming response. “It’s always an honour to be part of the Ramadan Art Auction, and this year was equally special. We saw incredible generosity from bidders who not only appreciated the art but also believed in the cause.
The collection featured a rich variety – calligraphy, landscapes, and abstracts – highlighting the immense talent of Pakistani artists. Seeing so many pieces find new homes while supporting free healthcare made this a deeply fulfilling experience.”
The auction culminated in a Gratitude Iftar on March 9, 2025, bringing together over 350 supporters of PMC, community leaders, and dignitaries. The gathering honoured those who contribute to PMC’s pioneering work. Since its inception in 2020, PMC – a project of PAD and the GCC’s first not-for-profit healthcare facility – has impacted over 110,000 individuals from 92+ nationalities.
PAD extends its sincere gratitude to the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, Dar Al Ber Society, and the Community Development Authority (CDA) for their support in making initiatives like this possible.
