Dr. Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber, confirmed that the Ramadan campaign sets its sights on charitable goals and high-level humanitarian ambitions, towards supporting the poor and those with limited income during the month of Ramadan, inside and outside the country, which includes many countries by which providing them with food, living and material requirements.
Segments of Beneficiaries
Dr Al Muhairi explained, at its headquarters on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, said that the Ramadan campaign for the year 1445 AH – 2024 is under the slogan ‘O seeker of goodness, Come Forward’, and will start today Thursday February 15th, and Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, stressing that the campaign is directed to support those who are fasting, the needy, the poor, orphans, the sick, widows, those in debt, and others.
Locally and externally
He explained that the Ramadan campaign includes 16 Ramadan charitable projects and initiatives, including 4 seasonal projects and initiatives, total costs within the UAE were estimated at 5,150,000 million, benefiting 366,450, compared to a cost of 4,773,750 million and 579. 853 beneficiaries outside the country.
A Complete Package
According to Dr. Al Muhairi, Dar Al Ber’s seasonal Ramadan projects package includes the Iftar project for the fasting, which benefits 324,000 people inside the Emirates, at a cost of 3 million dirhams, with 1,080,000 meals distributed to those who are fasting daily, within 23 locations within the country. Those who are fasting outside the country, 281,256 benefit from it, at a cost of 1,038,000 million, and it consists of the distribution of cooked meals to those who are fasting, or a food basket, sufficient for an average of 5 people.
The package of Ramadan projects this year also includes the seasonal and annual Zakat Al-Fitr project, benefiting 7,700 beneficiaries, inside the country, at a cost of one million dirhams, and the Zakat Al-Fitr project, outside the country, at 2,200,000 million dirhams, for the benefit of 267,500 beneficiaries, and the Eid Al-Fitr clothing project, inside the country benfits 450 families, with an average size of between 3 to 5 individuals, at a value of 150,000 dirhams, and Eid Al-Fitr clothing outside the country, for 25,837 beneficiaries, at 155,000 thousand dirhams, and Eid clothing for orphans, outside the Emirates, for 5,260 orphans, at a cost of 1,380,750 dirhams, and the food baskets project, for two thousand families, which provides food baskets within the country containing the main food supplies or a coupon purchase card, with a total value of one million dirhams.
Other Project Targets
Zakat money, at a value of 65,000,000 million, and the ‘Ramadan Basket’, 4,800,000 million, building mosques, 20,000,000 million, treating patients inside the country, at a cost of 10,000,000, and supporting education, 4,000,000 million, at two million locally and the same cost externally. And the Qur’an printing project, 1,000,000 million, distributed inside and outside the country, and building 3 model villages outside the Emirates, 10,000,000 million, and supporting orphan projects, 3,000,000 million, and supporting debtors inside the country, 7,500,000 million, and digging artesian wells outside the country, 20,000,000 million, and projects to support productive families, 4,000,000 million.
Flexibility and Creativity
Al Muhairi stated that Dar Al Ber employs creativity and flexibility in its Ramadan projects and initiatives, as it seeks to adopt and launch new ideas and qualitative initiatives towards developing charitable work and enhancing services directed to the needy and deserving in the UAE.
Cooperation and Coordination
He confirmed the distribution of Eid clothing and the ‘Ramadan Basket’, which includes essential food supplies, in preparation for the holy month, to the poor and deserving people within the Emirates and a number of countries around the world, in cooperation and coordination with its partners there, indicating that a special Eid clothing has been allocated to the segment of orphans, who are sponsored by the Society. Thanks to the charity and donations of benefactors and generous people among its clients.

He stressed that the Society is harnessing its energies, its work teams, its material and logistical capabilities, and its extensive humanitarian expertise, to ensure the success of the Ramadan campaign, and to present a model version this year, and to reach its community charitable goals, and to support those who are fasting, the poor, and the needy, and to meet their needs.
