Dubai–UAE In a heartwarming display of unity and inclusivity, Cedar School recently hosted a Community Iftaar Party bringing together parents, teachers, and students to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan.
The event, held on 21st March 2024, was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering a sense of community and solidarity among its diverse student body and their families. With the backdrop of the holy month of Ramadan, the Iftaar party provided an opportunity for individuals from different backgrounds to come together, share a meal, and strengthen bonds of friendship and camaraderie.
The evening began with a warm welcome from Ms. Satya Klever, the Principal of Cedar School, who expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to come together as a community during this sacred month. “Ramadan is a time for reflection, compassion, and unity,” said Satya Klever. “Tonight, we gather as one family to share in the blessings of this holy month and strengthen the bonds that unite us.”
The evening commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, setting the tone for the auspicious gathering. Attendees were treated to a delicious spread of traditional Iftaar delicacies, including dates, fruits, samosas, and refreshing beverages, prepared with care and attention to cultural preferences.
Mr. Majd Gazolin, Head of MOE Subjects at Cedar School, extended his heartfelt gratitude to parents for their participation in the Community Iftaar Party, emphasising the significance of community unity and togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan. As the Head of MOE Subjects, Mr. Majd played an instrumental role in organising the event ensuring that it reflected the values of compassion, inclusivity, and cultural appreciation that are central to the teachings of Islam.

From vibrant paintings to intricate calligraphy and multimedia installations the gallery featured a diverse array of artworks inspired by the themes of Ramadan; unity, and compassion.
As visitors entered the gallery, they were greeted by a breathtaking display of color and creativity. Each piece of artwork was thoughtfully curated and arranged creating an immersive experience that captivated the senses and sparked conversation.
Ms Saima Furqan, the art teacher at Cedar School Dubai, expressed her pride in the students’ accomplishments. “The Ramadan Art Gallery is a celebration of our students’ creativity, talent, and dedication,” said Ms Saima. “I am constantly amazed by the depth of their artistic expression and their ability to convey complex emotions and ideas through their artwork.”
