The program commenced with Mushhood Ali Dhillon’s warm welcome and a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the national anthems of the UAE and Pakistan.

Syed Asif Zaman highlighted the transformative role of emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Big Data, Data Analytics, AI, and Cloud-based accounting software in the accounting and auditing industry. He emphasized the need for professionals to stay updated with these technologies to remain competitive.
Dr. Farrukh Habib, in his engaging session, demystified Digital Assets including cryptocurrencies. He explained the regulatory frameworks surrounding digital assets and how Alif Technologies can provide advisory services in this area.
Iqbal Dawood, President Pakistan Business Council Dubai and Guest Speaker of the Event, highlighted the challenges being faced by Business in UAE in terms of new regulations.
Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in UAE, who was the Chief Guest of the Event thanked all the participants and invitation from ICMA UAE Branch Council and Ahmad Alagbari Charted Accountants. He envisioned participants about the role of Pakistan Embassy in UAE for facilitating Pakistani Community.
Keynote speaker Alia Noor captivated the audience with her talk on the topic ”UAE Corporate Tax – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”, navigating through the nuances of the law and its implications on businesses operating in the UAE. She explained Resident and Non-Resident Persons, Taxable & Exempt Income, and Corporate Tax Registration Deadlines. She also answered to the Questions of Participants. Her presentation was very engaging, informative and thought-provoking.
Bashir Ahmed Farooq, Chairman Saylani Welfare International Trust and Guest Speaker of the Event, informed the participants about the projects of Saylani Trust including running of many food programs for poor across Pakistan. He explained how Saylani Trust is working in IT Industry and engaged in export of IT Services. He explained cooperation between Saylani Trust and Government of Pakistan and Professional Accounting Institutes in Pakistan.
