- The Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai honored this morning, at the Umm Suqeim Majlis in Dubai, 35 entities of partners in success: sponsors, strategic partners, and media institutions, in the success of the Ramadan in Dubai initiative. Additionally, 48 male and female employees from governmental, semi-governmental, and private sectors who won in the “Employee Al-Hafiz Competition ” at the level of Dubai government departments were honored.
- This came during the closing ceremony of the Ramadan in Dubai initiative, which was held at the Umm Suqeim Majlis, in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, the department’s executive directors, and senior officials from participating government entities and departments in the Ramadan in Dubai activities.
- The closing ceremony began with a melodious recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a video presentation showcasing the achievements of the Ramadan in Dubai initiative during the blessed month. These accomplishments serve as a source of pride, as Dubai’s mosques witnessed over 9 million worshippers attending Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers as part of the “Readers of Dubai” initiative. Additionally, a total of 5,885 religious lectures and lessons were conducted in 9 different languages across Dubai’s mosques, benefiting more than 156,000 individuals. This aimed to educate and raise religious awareness within the community, reaching over 23 million beneficiaries through the distribution of meals at 1,587 approved Iftar locations. Moreover, 24 million beneficiaries were served through five charitable initiatives, alongside the organization of 14 community initiatives aimed at promoting solidarity and social cohesion, in collaboration with relevant authorities, benefiting 23,000 participants.
- In his address at the ceremony, His Excellency the Director-General emphasized the Department’s belief in teamwork and selflessness, stating that collective effort is the key to success. He highlighted how the Ramadan in Dubai campaign showcased Dubai in a manner befitting its leading status and the ambitions of our wise leadership. He expressed gratitude and appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the campaign, starting from the distinguished partners from government departments who initiated efforts to unify their endeavors, to the work teams, organizing committees, and field volunteers. He also thanked the gold, silver, and bronze sponsors, as well as the media, acknowledging them as integral parts of the Department’s achievements. He noted that these indicators are evidence of the strength of partnerships, as the initiatives, projects, and events implemented received widespread acclaim and appreciation from the community.

- At the end of the ceremony, he extended his greetings, thanks, and appreciation to everyone, praying to Allah to perpetuate the blessings of security, safety, dignity, and honor on the land of the United Arab Emirates, its leadership, and its people.
