CSL Season 7 will be played in Sharjah on February 7, 8 and 9
16 teams will compete for the title
Dubai, UAE, January 12, 2025 – Chinar Super League (CSL) is preparing for a monumental event as its iconic trophy embarks on a journey of over 10,300 kilometers, traveling across various cities between Dubai, Srinagar, Muzaffarabad, Islamabad and New Delhi.
During the unveiling of the event, Chinar Super League founder Chairman, Raja Asad Khalid, announced plans for CSL’s seventh season, expressing his delight at the league’s growing influence and its expanding role not only in sports but also in addressing environmental issues.
CSL Season 7 is all set to be played in Sharjah on February 7, 8 and 9 with 16 teams vying for the top prize.
Raja Asad Khalid said, “Chinar Super League is not just a platform for sports; it’s a movement that brings people together for common causes. This season, we are not only extending our reach but also working on raising climate awareness and providing long-term solutions to environmental challenges. Our tree planting campaigns and environmental initiatives are part of our commitment to making CSL an institution that gives back to society.”
Chairman Organising Committee Raja Mohammad Ashiq Khan, Sponsor Raja Mohammad Khan, President Chinar Wing Amjad Kabir and Director Sports Chinar Super League Naqash Riaz flanked Raja Asad during the press conference and also spoke on the occasion.
The CSL trophy, a symbol of the spirit of the game, unity, and environmental commitment, will travel from Dubai to Srinagar via New Delhi and Dubai to Muzaffarabad via Islamabad on a historic journey aimed at uniting communities and raising awareness about the growing environmental challenges in the region.
This journey is not just about crossing borders; it’s a message of peace and unity across the Kashmir region. The trophy’s passage through different distances and locations reflects CSL’s mission of using sports as a platform to promote social harmony and environmental responsibility.
This initiative underscores the league’s vision to not only be about sports but also to become an institution committed to sustainable and effective action on climate change and environmental preservation.
Special Thanks to Dubai and UAE – CSL Supports UAE’s Zero Carbon Mission
With CSL’s growing impact as an institution, last year, the league launched an awareness campaign on climate change. The league planted 21 trees and collaborated with COP28 to educate people on the effects of climate change.
This year, CSL is continuing its environmental efforts by collaborating with government institutions in the UAE to raise awareness and take action to address climate change.
These efforts include tree planting, reducing plastic bag usage, and other initiatives to combat environmental challenges.
“We take pride in supporting the UAE’s Zero Carbon mission,” said Raja Asad Khalid. “To further this cause, we are organizing a special beach cricket tournament. This tournament will not only feature matches but also include activities for beach cleaning, raising awareness about the dangers of plastic bags, and promoting ocean conservation.”
Environmental Awareness and Tree Planting Initiatives
A key feature of CSL’s plans this season is a special beach cricket tournament that will be organized to clean the oceans and raise awareness about the risks of environmental pollution. This tournament is part of CSL’s broader environmental campaign, which also includes ongoing tree planting efforts. Last year, CSL planted 21 trees, and this year, the league is expanding its efforts, with plans to plant 32 trees in various regions of Kashmir. The goal is to emphasize environmental sustainability, especially by promoting responsible actions such as reducing plastic use and reforesting.
